According to 1991 Census, in Odisha (Orissa) the total strength of tribal population is approximately seven million. Odisha (Orissa) occupies a unique position in the ethnographic map of India for having the largest variety of tribal communities. Being one of the fascinating ethnographic states of the country.
The tribal population of the state constitutes 22.43 percent of the total population of the state and 7.76 percent of the total tribal population of the country. Although they are found in all the districts of the state. Yet more than half of their total strength are found in three districts namely koraput, Malkanagiri, sundergarh and Mayurbhanj. The most primitive tribes are Dunguri Kondh, colorful Bond Tribes, Gadaba Tribes who still live in high hill and have retained their culture and traditions intact till today. Other tribes are Kutia, Paraja, Rana, Malli and Dhuruva who live in remote villages have still preserved their culture and traditions.

Early morning catch flight to Bhubaneswar. Assistance on arrival-transfer and check in later visit. Bhubaneswar is Famous as Temple City where still now more than 700 ancients Temples. The most important Temples of Bhubaneswar are Parasurameswar Temple of 7th Cenutry AD, Mukteswar Temple (10th cen. A D), Rajarani Temple (11th Century A D ) and Lingaraj Temple (Later part of 11th Cen A D -Non Hindus are nor allowed to enter inside the temple Premises of Lingaraj Temple) RajaraniTemple, which got its name from a red- gold sand stone used, which is called Rajarania locally and the temple has no presiding deity. The temple has intricately carved figurines in various stages of daily chores. Also visit Lingaraja Temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and the Lingam here is unique which is a hari hara lingam -half Shiva and half Vishnu. The temple is about a thousand years old and dominates the skyline of Bhubaneswar from as far as 15 kms. away and exhibits the skill of the Orissan temple architects.
Drive to Puri en route visiting Dhauli-Buddhist Shanti stupa, Pipili– patch work village & Raghurajpur artisan village. Overnight at Puri.
This day excursion. to visit Sun temple at Konark and fishermen villages. Overnight at Puri.
Drive to Gopalpur en route visit Orissan typical villages, Boat cruise at the Chilika lagoon to explore migratory birds at the Island later drive to Gopalpur-on-sea.
Drive to Rayagada en route visit Taptapani-hot sulfuric spring water and Saura tribal villages.
Drive to Bisamkatak 55km to visit weekly market of Desia Kondh at Dukum later visit traditional craftsman village later post launch soft walk on Niyamgiri hills to visit the original Dongaria Kondh hamlets on special permit.
Wednesday Morning drives to Chhatikona the weekly colourful Dongaria Kondh market. Dongaria come down with their forest produce to sell/ barter with non-tribals is an interesting event to watch. Later transfer to Jeypore.
Thursday drive to Onkudelli the most interesting market of Bondos / Gadabas /Didayees later visit Ollar Gadaba tribal villages & back to hotel. Drive to Kangarapada soft walk to primitive Boda Gadaba tribal villages; interact with this tribe with the assistance of our experienced guide who knows the tribal dialect later see their dance known as Dhemsa in their village. Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast drive to Kunduli where the guest can witness the largest tribal market of Paroja tribes and later continue drive to Visakhapatnam. Overnight at the Taj Residency.
Morning walk along the beach and have breakfast at the hotel visit the Sankaram budhist sight, afternoon visit Shimanchalam temple on the Hillock and explored the city of Destiny –Visakhapatnam. Evening relax at the Ramkrishna beach. Overnight at the hotel.
Assistance on departure-transfer to airport for onward journey.
