Odisha and Chhattisgarh Tribal Tours – Tribal population in Odisha and Chhattisgarh occupies a unique position in the tribal Ethnographic map of India for having the largest variety of tribal communities and one of the fascinating ethnographic states of the INDIA .

The most primitive tribes of Odisha and Chhattisgarh are Dunguria Kondh Tribes, colorful Bonda Tribes and Gadaba, Maria and Muria Tribes, Gond Tribes who still live in high hill and have preserved their culture and traditions intact till today.

Itinerary Details:

Day 01 : Arrival at Delhi

Arrival at Delhi and assistance transfer to hotel for check in. Later half day city tour including Rajghat, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Lotus temple and Quttab Minnar. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi – Bhubaneswar

After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Airport to board the flight for Bhubaneswar. Arrival at Bhubaneswar and transfer to hotel. Later half day sightseeing of famous city temples including Parasurameswar Temple of 7th Century AD ,Mukteswar Temple (10th cen. A D ),Rajarani Temple (11th Century A D ) and Lingaraj Temple (Later part of 11th Cen A D -Non Hindus are not allowed to enter inside the temple Premises of Lingaraj). Overnight at Bhubaneswar.

Day 03 : Bhubaneswar – Dhauli – Pipli – Raghurajpur – Puri

Morning after breakfast drive to Puri en route visit Dhauli the peace pagoda, Pipli the applique work village & Raghurajpur craft.

Day 04 : Puri – Konark – Ratnagiri the Budhist monastry sight. (183 kms 4.5hrs drive )

Morning after breakfast drive to Konatk to visit the Sun temple (one of the world famous heritage site). Then proceed the diamond triangle of Odisha     en rout visit 64 yogini temple at hirapur. Overnight at ratnagiri.

Day 05 : Ratnagiri – Lalitagiri – Dhenkanal ( 108kms / 03 hrs drive )

Morning after breakfast visit the monastery sight of Ratnagiri, Lalitagiri then drive to Dhenkanal enrought visit the Santal tribal village arrive at the dhenkanal palace cheak in at the heratage hotel. Afternoon drive to joranda to weatness the joranda mahima monastri observe the arati return to the palace. Overnight Dhenkanal.

Day 06 : Dhenkanal – Sadeibarini – Nuapatana – Daspalla.

Morning after breakfast drive to Daspalla enrought visiting sadeibarini metal casting craft village,then nuapaana the textile village. Overnight at Daspalla

Day 07 : Daspalla – Phulabani – Baliguda ( 200 Kms Drive 5 Hrs )

Morning after early breakfast, drive into the tribal region of Odisha. Enrought visit the Khaira kandha & Kutia kandha tribal villages on the way. Ovearnight at Baliguda.

Day 08 : Baliguda – Kotagarh – Rayagada (152 Kms 4Hrs drive)

After breakfast proceed to Kotagarda visiting Kutia kandha village and meet them inthere weekly market (commence only on Tuesday). Overnight at Rayagda.

Day 09 : Rayagada – Chatikona – Jeypore

After breakfast drive down to Chatikona to watch the interesting colorful weekly market of Dongriya Kondh Tribes ( weekly market commence on Wednesday only ). This tribe is one of most primitive tribe of the Kondh’s they live in the high slopes of the Niyamagiri Hills. Later drive to Jeypore. Overnight at hotel in Jeypore.

Day 10 : Jeypore – Ankadelli – Jeypore

After breakfast, drive to Ankadelli to visit the famous Bonda tribes ( weekly market commence on Thursday only ), who comes once every week for their weekly market. It is a unique opportunity to see such a colorful concentration of typical tribal at one place. Most interesting is to watch the Bonda woman in their colorful Jewelries and marketing commodities.Then drive back to Jeypore. Overnight at hotel in Jeypore.

Day 11 : Jaypore – Kunduli – Jaypore.

After breakfast drive to excursion to konduli, the biggest tribal market of the region commence on Friday. Thousands of paraja tribal people coming to purchase there required things from this weekly market. After market visit village of Mali, pottery man, visit Jagannath temple of Sabarasrikhatra at Koraput. Overnight at Jaypore.

Day 12 : Jaypore – Kotapard – Mardum market – Jagadalpur.

After breakfast drive to Jagadalpur visiting Kotapard the tribal textile village, and Mardum the Mardia tribal market at Mardum commence only on satarday. Overnight at Jagadalpur.

Day 13 : Jagdalpur – Baster – Kondagaon – Kanker. (160 Kms / 04 Hrs)

Morning check out from hotel and drive to Kanker. Today’s sightseeing includes the visit to thick woods of Keshkal Ghat bordering Bastar. Later visit Kondagaon and Narayanpur that are home to Bastar’s exquisite handicrafts, its excellent crafts work in bell metal, wood, wrought iron and bamboo. The major attraction is the Kanker Palace. Built in the first quarter of the 20th century, set in a beautifully landscaped garden in 1937, was earlier known as Radhanivas Bagicha. It served as the residence of the Agent during the British period. With its colonial architecture, part of the palace is home to the erstwhile royal family and the right wing has been developed as a heritage hotel. Check into hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 14 : Kanker

Morning proceed to visit the Gond tribal villages and the ancient rock paintings. Also visit the tribal BIDI making village and the Lunch at the Farm house. Overnight at the Royal Palace.

Day 15 : Kanker – Raipur (160 Kms / 04 Hrs)

Morning after breakfast drive to Raipur, check into the hotel. Day for visit to Raipur. Raipur is the capital city of Chhattisgarh. Known for historical and archaeological importance. It is the gateway to Bastar which is home to many tribal communities. Major tourist attractions are 19th century Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum, Hatkeswar Mahadev temple, Mahakoshal Art Gallery, Dudhadhari Monastery. Overnight at hotel.

Day 16 : Departure from Raipur

Morning check out from the hotel and transfer to airport for onward journey.
