The temples of Odisha famous, for its architectural wonders, Odisha (Orissa) houses some of the best temples in the country. The temples in Odisha are said to have given supreme expression to architecture. Taking the Kalinga pattern of architecture to its zenith, these Odisha temples are unique in both plan elevation and decoration details.

Architecture in Odisha found its supreme expression in the form of temples, some of which are among, finest in the country. Of these, three are most famous the Lingaraja temple at Bhubaneswar (11th century), the Jagannath Temple at Puri (12th century) and the great Sun Temple at Konark (13th century). These mark the culmination of a distinct style of architecture called the Kalinga style remarkable in its plan elevation and details of decoration. In the simplest form, a temple of this style consists of a structural due, the main temple or shrine and the frontal porch. While the main temple, called Vimana or Deula, is the sanctum enshrining the deity the porch or assembly hall called Jagamohana is the place for the congregation of devotees.

ITINERARY DETAILS

DAY 01:- BHUBANESWAR

During morning arrival Bhubaneswar, the city of temples, and transfer to hotel. After refreshment visit local sightseeing tour such as Parsurameswar, Mukteswar temple, Sidheswar, Brameswar, Rajarani temple (all are 6-12the century temples), and afternoon visit Khandagir/Udaygiri Jain caves. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.

DAY 02:- PURI

During morning drive to Puri enroute visit Lingaraj temple, Vaital temple, Dhauli Budhist stupa, 64 Yogini temple (Only third in India), Sakhigopal temple. Arrival Puri during late afternoon and transfer to hotel. Relax on the golden beach of Puri.

DAY 03:- PURI

During morning visit world famous Jagannath temple, Gundicha Temple, Sunar Gourang Temple, Bedi Hanuman Temple, Loknath temple, Sankaracharya Temple etc. Overnight stay at Puri.

DAY 04:- KONARK

During morning drive to world famous Konark Sun temple enroute visit Beleswar temple, Ramchandi temple, Kapileswar temple and further visit famous Chaurasi Barahi &  Kakatpur Mangala Temple. Back to Puri for overnight stay.

DAY 05:- BRAHMAGIRI

During morning drive to Brahmagiri to witness famous Alarnath Temple, Bali Harachandi Temple and further drive to Bhubaneswar enroute visiting Bata Mangala temple, Harachandi temple near chandanpur. Ovrengiht stay at Barakul.

DAY 06:- TAPTAPANI

During morning drive to famous shakti Peeth Tara Tarini and Bhagabati, Dhakya prajapti temple, Nirmal Jhar in Khurdha & Ganjam district. Back to Bhubaneswar for overnight stay.

DAY 07:-

During morning check out hotel and if wish do some shopping. Further drive to airport or rly station for your next destination.
