Bastar is the epitome of tribal area of Chattisgarh where you will be able to find numerous tribal communities.
This itinerary would be a hidden treasure to know the lifestyle of an unknown set of people living in the heart of India.
Day 1 – Arrive in Delhi
Upon your arrival in Delhi, meet your guide and get transferred to the hotel.Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 – Delhi-Raipur-Kawardha
Depart and get transferred to the domestic airport in the morning.
Today, you will be leaving to Raipur.
As you reach Raipur, the representative of the tour provider will meet you at the airport and from there, you will get a drive to the former Princely State of Kawardha. It is 120 kms away from the airport.
In the afternoon, indulge in a familiarization tour to the places and the nearby cultural attractions including the Bhoramdeo complex.
After the sightseeing tour, return to the Hotel by evening at sunset, have a refreshing welcome drink and then enjoy your Dinner by watching traditional dance.
Day 3 – Kawardha – Baiga village – Kawardha
In the morning, post breakfast, meet a well-informed palace guide who will accompany to help you with the exploration of the secrets of Kawardha’s tribal community, lesser known to the outer world.
The Baiga people who are so gentle and friendly will welcome you with a warm smile. They are the principal indigenous tribal group in the forest.
Have the privilege to share their food and have a good time with them.
Stay overnight at Kawardha.
Day 4 – Kawardha – Raipur – Kanker
Spend the morning at complete leisure.Have an early lunch and the set off to Raipur.Arrive at Raipur where you will be visiting the Raipur’s Mahant Ghasidas Museum before leaving for the former princely State of Kanker.You will be going to Kanker later. As you reach Kanker , enjoy their traditional welcome.
Post dinner, enjoy a performance of the traditional music and dance of the region.

Day 5 – Kanker – Narayanpur – Kanker
Post breakfast, head out to experience the life of the Bastar tribal groups. They are located in the South of Kanker, climb the forested Keshkal Ghat which marks the border of Bastar 500m above the plain.
Come to meet the flamboyant nature here with a visit to a colourful weekly market. You will be able to meet the local people.
Narayanpur is the famous spots to find the finest handicrafts made by the Bastar artist and the people of the tribe will also be there.
Have lunch in the deep green sal forests.
In the afternoon, there will be a tribal dance by youthful members of Bastar’s ‘Gond tribe’ from the Ghotul.
Return to Kanker afterwards and have dinner late night.
Ghotul is the culture of the tribes of Bastar. Ghotul is the place where young girls and boys live to understand the culture and structure of their society. These young people enjoy themselves here along with taking lessons in life. They dance and sing and make merry. Most of them choose their life partners in the Ghotul and go out and get married with the consent of the chieftains.
Stay overnight at Kanker .
Day 6 – Kanker –Kondagaon– Jagdalpur
Post breakfast, proceed to Jagdalpur, Bastar’s main town and former capital.
On the way to jagdalpur at Kondagaon watch the finest metal casting art of sitalia artist of bastar.
then prosid to reach Jagdalpur by lunch time, freshen up and enjoy a lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on a royal guided tour of historical Jagdalpur and the Anthropological Museum which will be completed by a sunset idyll at the Chitrakoot waterfall on the Indravati River.
Post that, visit some of the local Bison – Horn Maria tribe, famous for their spectacular ceremonial dancing.
If the conditions permitting, you will be able to enjoy a barbecue served in the authentic Bastar style.
You will be entertained by a performance of the tribal people, before returning to your hotel.
Stay overnight at Jagadalpur.
Day 7 – Jagdalpur – Kanger Valley National Park – Jagdalpur
Have an early breakfast and then head to visit the rich forests of the Kanger Valley National Park.
Watch the enchanting Tirathgarh waterfall and the extraordinary stalactite and stalagmite caves.
Kanger is a wondrous beauty that retains the original intensity of the forests. Enjoy the natural habitat of leopard, Tiger, Sambhar, Bison and the Bastar Hill Myna.
Explore the forest tribal people in their natural habitat.
Witness Jagdalpur’s unique wooden handicrafts and later return to your hotel and have dinner.
Stay overnight at Jagadalpur.
Day 8 – Jagdalpur – Raipur
After breakfast, make your way to visit the crowded markets of Jagdalpur before your return to Raipur.
On the highway, you will pass several handicrafts centre to collect the last-minute souvenirs of your Bastar Experience.
Take a stop at Kanker, have a late lunch with the Maharaja’s family before proceeding to Raipur.
Upon your arrival at the hotel, relax and stay overnight there.
Day 9 – Raipur – Delhi
Following your breakfast, get transferred to the Raipur Airport and leave for Delhi.
Once you arrive at Delhi airport, you will be taken to the hotel.
Day 10 – Delhi
In the morning, take a day tour of Old Delhi with a visit to Raj Ghat – The Mausoleum of Mahatma Gandhi.
Witness the beauty of Jama Masjid – the biggest Mosque in India and drive past Red Fort and enjoy a tricycle tour of Chandini Chowk.
In the afternoon, embark upon a half day city tour of New Delhi.
Drive past the President House, Parliament House (House of Representatives) and India Gate – War Memorial (stop for photography), Qutab Minar – 72.55 meters, high Victory Tower and continue onto Humayun’s Tomb – built of red sandstone and is a first substantial example of the Mughal architecture, Laxmi Narayan Temple – a modern Hindu temple built by the Birlas, leading Indian industrialists.
In the evening, you will be driven to the international airport for your onward journey.
